Privacy
This is the personal website of Ahmad Hussain, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is run by me personally and I am the data controller for anything collected here.
What I collect
- Visit data. When you browse, the server records the page, time, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address (country, region, city), your IP address, and browser, operating system and device type from your user agent. A random session id is kept in your browser's session storage and a random visitor id in local storage, so I can see a visit as a journey rather than single clicks.
- Contact form. Your name, email, optional phone number, topic and message. To prevent abuse, the email address is verified with a one time code.
- Email. Messages you send to hello@ or contact@aahmedhussa.in, and my replies.
Why
To reply to you, to keep the site secure and free of spam, and to understand which pages people find useful. The legal basis is your consent when you write to me, and my legitimate interest in running a secure personal website.
Who sees it
Only me. Data is processed by the services that run this site: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (DNS and inbound email) and Brevo (outgoing email). I do not sell or share your data for advertising.
How long
Visit data is kept for up to 13 months. Messages and form submissions are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation, then deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time by writing to hello@aahmedhussa.in. This applies under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws where you live.
Terms of use
The content on this site, including text, design and code, belongs to Ahmad Hussain unless noted otherwise. You are welcome to link to it and quote it with credit. Please do not copy the design wholesale.
Project names and brands shown here belong to their respective projects. Jajeer Times is satire; nothing it publishes should be taken as fact.
The site is provided as is, without warranties. I am not liable for losses arising from its use, to the extent the law allows. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Srinagar having jurisdiction.
